Aloe vera is widely used as a main ingredient for many beauty products due to its moisturizing, anti-wrinkle, and healing properties. Several studies confirm that the plant contains compounds such as anthraquinones, lectins, mannans, and polysaccharides that are beneficial for the skin. Of course, you are not going to see results overnight.
An aloe mask would be a great addition to your beauty routine. Long-term use will keep your skin healthy. Be patient and you will see that the benefits will exceed all your efforts.
-Acne
The gel’s antibacterial properties will help counteract infection and reduce swelling. Its soothing properties can also minimize redness and inflammation. You can make your own mask (check the recipes below) and apply it to your face once or twice a week. It will not only help with acne but with acne scars as well. Aloe Vera aids the skin in generating new healthy skin cells. It is loaded with coagulating agents and astringents that help prevent future breakouts.
-Sunburn
Aloe Vera masks can also be used to help soothe sunburnt skin. Excessive sun exposure can cause the skin to age at a faster rate. All I can say is that 5 or 10 years from now you are not going to like the results. Ask any woman who has aged gracefully and she will tell you that her beauty secret is “NO SUN”!
Facial sunburn can cause breakouts and inflammation to cover your face. Using Aloe Vera will give you instant relief due to its cooling effect as it forms a protective layer that will lock in the moisture to prevent further damage and dehydration.
-Dry Skin
Using Aloe as a moisturizer will keep your skin supple and flexible. It effectively supplies oxygen to the cell which increases the strength and synthesis of skin tissues. Aloe Vera mask will keep dry skin at bay with its moisturizing properties.
-Wrinkles/Aging Skin
Dry skin and wrinkles go hand in hand. As we grow older, we get more and more jealous of people with oily skin! Using a mask infused with Aloe will help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The enzymes of the plant are rich in antioxidants which can help neutralize the effects of free radicals.
